영어 그림책 추천 <A Bear's Year>

오늘 소개해 드릴 영어 그림책은 Kathy Duval의 <A Bear's Year>입니다.

표지를 보니 곰 세마리가 보입니다.

한 마리는 엄마 곰(?), 두 마리는 새끼 곰 같아 보입니다.

어떤 이야기일까요?

Winter Bear drifts into sleep,

Earth's snowflake blaket soft and deep.

A cozy dreamer in her lair

cuddles newborn baby bears.

Springtime Bear wakes at last;

her springtime cubs are growing fast.

They walk, then run and climb so high

while Mama keeps her watch nearby.

Cubs wrestle, tumble, chase and hide -

then take a nap side by side.

Summer Bear treats her cubs 

to juicy berries, tasty grubs.

Cubs catch fish,

find bees swarm,

and dig for roots when days are warm.

For they must learn what Mama knows

while flowers bloom and grass still grows.

Autumn Bear digs a den,

a sheltered bed for this year's end.

Coats grow thick, bodies strong.

Soon bears will doze all winter long.

Last year's cubs, almost grown,

dream they'll soon be on their own.

First snow falls.

Bears stay warm, nestled close in Earth's safe arms.
